Music Services Asia and our sponsor Valleyarm Digital Music Distribution, eagerly anticipates the selection of five prominent Asian bands, who will appear alongside the biggest names in the music industry at the 2012 Marché International du Disque et de l’Edition Musicale (MIDEM) Music Conference in Cannes, France. This move aims to increase the presence of misrepresented artists, labels and media from the Asia-Pacific region at the conference, a demographic which has only occupied 5% of the total attendees in previous years.
The five bands will perform in an individual showcase performance, which will be reviewed and considered by the global industry elite.
MIDEM’s long standing reputation as one of Europe’s most comprehensive music industry events has spurred the turning of a new chapter for the event. 2012 will signify the first year of a new and improved MIDEM, which aims to capture the attention of upcoming artists and industry figures through modern marketing, incomparable exposure and widespread international coverage and artist involvement.
